The Lost Levels

This game is hell! Me and my cousin have been trying to beat it for about 3 weeks now and man is this game hard. we got all the way to world 8 level 1 and then we got so happy and freaked out i bumped the super nintendo and the cleared the data. so we go through the lost levels again and now we are at 8-4 and i feel like we are totally stuck. like we'll never beat it. my cousin keeps saying he's heard of secret worlds in the lost levels.
IDK i was just wondering if anyone else has tried this horribly hard game?

Re: The Lost Levels

i like difficult games sometimes. original ones at least, not the modified homebrews which are crazy hard. i would prefer to play the original 8-bit version rather than the polished 16-bit variant but i'll give it a shot.

Re: The Lost Levels

If you want the original 8-bit version of SMB2(Japan) legitimately, its up on the Wii Virtual Console for like 7 bucks. I agree with WildJamesAppears, that game is hard as nutz. I haven't played enough of it to get very far, but I think its not the same type of difficulty that rom hacks often go for. I think those go beyond the frustrating level of challenge and often get all the way to sadistic and unnecessary. Sometimes when you try your best for a long time and get no where its hard to tell the difference, though.

Re: The Lost Levels

Oh you can get trough the levels. it took about 4 days to get to world 8 and then 3 days after it got deleted. I just feel like some jumps and stuff are so unfair its stupid. but its not impossible man. I got to the first bowser in the 8th castle. but i died. My super nintendo is at my cousins house so i can only play it when i'm up there.

Re: The Lost Levels

I too have gotten to the 8th world on the All-Stars version, but it's freaky-hard! I kinda want to give it a try here again. At least on the SNES you can save right at the 8th world and not start all over!
