December Finds

Got some "new" physical books earlier from Goodwill. lol

$1 - The Holy Bible - New International Version (The one I've got, the text is entirely too small and is a pain in the ass to read. I saw this bigger one for a buck.)
$0.70 - Is the Antichrist Alive Today?
Free - Ten Commandments : Twice Removed (This was actually on top of a gas pump heh)
$0.70 - Dark City
$0.70 - Ghoul
$0.70 - Tim Allen : Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man

$6.00 - A 12 cassette set of the Old Testament
$3.00 - Walkman (model WM-FX197 if that matters to anyone) to play the tapes with because I don't actually have a tape player.
$4.00 - And NBA : In the Zone for the PS1. :P I probably overpaid for it, but hey it's complete in the long box and in near pristine condition. Even has the little piece of foam. lol

I can't believe I'm sitting here listening to a Walkman.

And for the record, no I'm not religious (if you've seen my Facebook page, you'd know that real quick. lol) but I do think it's a good book. Anything with a body count that insanely high is a great book in my opinion.

Was this at a chain store? I'm looking to get one, but $40 is too steep for me, and I'm also worried they won't be around after Christmas..

$40 may seem steep right now, but wait until those guys on eBay sell it later on and see what it goes for. lol

Re: December Finds

Last Saturday I was driving around and saw a sign outside a business park that said "ebay business liquidation 9:00-3:00". It was a small warehouse filled with random 90s memorabilia - i.e. sealed action figures from 90s movies, movie trading cards, signs, and so on. Underneath one of the tables was a milk crate with an extremely ratty Dreamcast for $6. I decided to poke through it and found it also contained these:

Yeah, that's a Dreamcast VGA adapter. It was in much better condition than the Dreamcast itself. I also really enjoy Dreamcast sampler discs because there are a lot of games I just want to play a level or two from.

Re: December Finds

Got the new Golden Tee Deluxe plug and play game yesterday for $21.99 shipped. (Amazon has it for $47.50 and a Walmart near me sells it for $39.96).

Yes, oddly enough, I do (casually) play golf games. :P

Here's a video for the original version of it (the gameplay starts at around 6:30 ... why it takes someone that long to take something out of a goddamn box is beyond me), which can be obtained from Amazon for about 9 bucks ... http://youtu.be/VhWt8subwHY

And here's a rather shitty quality video of someone playing the one I just ordered. Gameplay starts at around a minute in. http://youtu.be/fp9NlJj4DFk

I saw a Gamecube bundle with 20 games, 2 controllers (1 being a wavebird), and the system for $30 on CL. I waited too long to call the guy...

Re: December Finds

I Drove to my friends house and she gave me a huge box for free. I took it home and looked inside to find:
two NESs
SNES
Coleco Gemini
Sega Genesis
Atari 2600
Tons of cords and TONS of controllers.
and 4 nes games and 1 genesis game, Nothing worth noting really though.
I though it was pretty awesome for free.
Is the gemini rare? Ive never heard of it.
Currently Playing: Pokemon Black, and i wont be playing anything else for a long time.
